This is our to-do-list during your Home Watch visits.

Homelax - Checklist

  • Inspect AC, temperature, humidity and air filter
  • Check if fridge & freezer is working
  • Run water in toilets, showers and sinks
  • Run garbage disposal
  • Check for visible water leaks 
  • Check for visible mold and moisture
  • Check windows and doors are locked
  • Inspect breaker box
  • Check for insects within the house
  • Check if Wi-Fi connection is working
  • Turn on and off main water line
  • Take photos for owner to view
  • Empty mailbox and place inside
  • Turn on lights, check for broken bulbs

 

Homelax - Checklist

  • Monitor landscape and pool water / level 
  • Empty mailbox and place mail inside
  • Check windows and doors are locked
  • Check if pool pump is running
  • Check exterior house for signs of wear or bugs
  • Check drainage after excessive rain
  • Check cage screen for damages
  • Check if garage door is working
  • Visual outdoor check (lawn & plants)
  • Check for any broken gutters

  • Replace smoke detector batteries
  • Pour vinegar into AC drain line
  • Remove dead bugs or insects
  • Remove weed from pool deck & driveway
  • Scan and forward mail via email
  • Make sure car battery is charging
  • Reset a flipped breaker
  • Clean toilet bowl with brush
  • Install Hurricane Shutters
  • Power cycle Wi-Fi/Security Cameras
  • Refill pool with water if required

3-Phase Home Watch Inspection

Our comprehensive 3-phase inspection process ensures complete peace of mind for our customers by incorporating repeated safety steps to guarantee nothing is overlooked.


  • 1. Phase: We thoroughly inspect your property using our specialized home watch inspection checklist. This list is created from the most common issues we've encountered over the past decade, ensuring that no area is left unchecked.


  • 2. Phase: We capture high-resolution photographs of your property. This includes detailed images of key areas, such as water heater and air conditioning, as well as exterior features like the pool, lawn, and driveway.


  • 3. Phase: We conduct a final walkthrough of the property, securing all entry points, turning off lights, shutting off the water supply, and activating the alarm system.

  • What are your business hours?

    Our normal business hours are from 8am - 5pm EDT. Due to the nature of emergencies and international clients, we offer a wide availbility throughout the whole year. 

  • Do you have an office?

    Homelax is a remote company and does not own a physical location or office. If you'd like to meet in person, please make a home visit appointment.

  • What are your payment methods?

    We offer an online payment method that accepts VISA, Mastercard, American Express and international cards. You may also leave a deposit in Cash or Check. 

  • Are you licensed?

    While we would love to operate under an official state license, the Florida department of Business & Professional Regulation does not recognize and regulate the Home Watch Business. 


    Our company, Homelax LLC.  is an offical and registered business in the state of Florida and is in good standing. We constantly update our knowledge and improve our services to offer you the best and most professional Home Watch Service. Every visit is dated and photographed for your assurance and transparency.
